How It Is Played

Three players perform a scene. One performer can say anything, but the other two each have three specific assigned lines they are allowed to say, and they cannot say anything else. The scene has to progress with only one person able to talk freely.

Tips For Performance

  • If you are the unrestricted performer, try to take charge of the scene. Taking the role of a supervisor or parent can help, since that role can drive a scene. You are in some ways the straight man, so if you can try to set up ways in which the other two can insert their lines.
  • If you are restricted on lines, try not to use them too frequently. Only speak if your line makes sense in the context, because then it will be funnier when you say your line and it works really well. Otherwise the audience will get bored of that line. Also, try to use all three of your lines.
