30 Second Change
This is a scene and character game often played in workshops.
Number of players
The game is typically played with five to ten people.
A relationship, location, or any general prompt is taken at the beginning for the first two players up.
How it is Played
Two players start the scene with the rest standing outside of the playing area. After the start of the scene, the players are required to make one of three changes to the scene every 30 seconds. It is required that one character enter, one character leave, or the location change every thirty seconds or less. Time is kept by the host from off-stage.
Tips for Performance
- Don't fear changing "too often". It's best if the host doesn't have to tell the players to change.
- Include recurring characters.
- Justify an entrance, exit or scene change as best you can.
