Fools Abound!

If you thought that you wouldn’t be able to satiate your Foolish Improv needs for the month of September you were WRONG!

Come spend a jovial night with us, The Ship of Fools, on September 20th! Nights like these only happen about once a blue moon, so it’s important that you celebrate any moment where improv comedy is readily, freely, available.

When: Friday, September 20th

Time: 8:30 p.m.

Where: Matthews Hall, Room 210

Price: Free

Did you catch the part where I said it costs $0.00? Because that means free. It’s free.

When: Friday, September 6th

Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday!

Starting Out the Year!

Improv Boilermakers! It’s the Fall 2013 Semester!

To our newest peers, welcome! To our returning members, welcome back!

We already have a lot of stuff planned for this coming semester, so keep track of it all using the snazy Event Calendar.

First, we WILL have Open Forum this Friday!

For our new members, and to remind some of our older members with bad memories, we will meet in Beering Hall, Room 2280, and we’ll practice improv from 7:00 – 9:00 pm just like you would see on Whose Line is it Anyway? You do not have to come down for games, you are always welcome to come and just watch your peers.

*Ahem* Sorry, got a little too excited there.

WHEN: Friday, August 30th

For those of you who don’t know, the Ship of Fools is the performing branch of the Purdue Improv Club. They perform shows all over Indiana, and around campus. The members of the Fools are all members of the Purdue Improv Club.

Again, we are so excited for this semester, and the coming year!

We’ll see you on Friday!

Final Open Forum of the Semester

Well, things are finally starting to wind down on Purdue University’s campus. Students are sending a few things home with their parents, roommates are sick of seeing each other, and the promise of summer is only two short weeks away.

That means it’s time for one final “Huzzah!”
The Final Open Forum of the Semester is here!

Friday, April 26th, join the Purdue Improvisation Club and the Ship of Fools in saying ‘goodbye’ for the summer! 7:00 in Beering Hall, room 2280. It promises to be a night full of awesome surprises, and extra fun.

What could we possibly mean by ‘awesome surprises and extra fun’? You’ll have to come out to Open Forum to find out!

Also, we’re currently taking a poll to see how people feel about Open Forum, and how the club is run in general. We’d love for you to fill it out and give us some feedback.

We’ll see you on Friday!

Ship of Fools Present: Lucky and Chaos Walk the Plank

The ship is getting a little too crowded. The Fools have decided it’s time to graduate a couple of members. They will be sent out to spread laughter and joy without the help of their fellow pirates. Lucky and Chaos, prepare to walk the plank!

April 12th, 2013

8:30 p.m.

Matthews Hall, Room 210

If you’re not fans of mushy goo, don’t read on. But be sure to join the Facebook Event!

Luke and Adam: You are both wonderful people and performers, and we love you both very much. We wish that we could stay with us forever, but we realize it’s time to go out on your own. Though life will take you all over the seven seas, we will keep in contact, and remember all the amazing times we have had.

We wish you the best of luck and know you will do great things with any of the endeavors you both pursue.

The Foolish Crew

Keep Calm! We’re Back!

That’s right, folks, we’re performing at the end of March not once but TWICE! Two days in a row, in fact.

As we go into battle with the last half of the semester, the morale of the Purdue Student Body is at an all time low. The memories of Spring Break seem a distant memory, and the promises of Summer Break appear only in dreams. We must bring joy back to campus!

Call in the reinforcements: The Ship of Fools!

Friday, March 29th, at 8:30 pm, watch your favorite seafaring pirates bring laughter and fun back to Purdue! Come to Matthews Hall, room 210 for all the improv fun!

And, as usual, it’s all FREE! Join the Facebook event!

But that’s not all!

We’ve been asked to perform in a joint performance with two of our friends, One Size Fits All and Ad Liberation! How could we say ‘no’?

Saturday, March 30th

7:30 – 9:30 pm

Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette

Tickets are required, and they cost $5.00 each. Call 765-423-PLAY (7529) to reserve your tickets now!
